Weekends two different groups play football 11 aside for last few years . Every sat an Sunday’s . cricket for kids as well.

Why would they do such a stupid thing. I know we want to spend our way out of the covid crisis but dont do unneccessary projects like this. There is already a path around the park.

No cyclepath required. This recreation ground has for decades enabled youngsters to play all kinds of sports. Creating a cycle path across the centre of it would be an act of social vandelism IMO. Nobody benefits from a new cycle path apart from the organisation taking local money to build it. Use the money to provide a better maintained park. A cycle path adds absolutely no social value and actually takes away from the existing multifunctional use of it

Why have a cycle path across the park, when it can so easily be put round the park. That way less inconvenience and trouble for parents with young kids running around.

Residents, the local community and users need to be consulted. Where's the demand for a cycle path from the public for this? What's the business case for it? If there's no demand, there should be no reason to waste tax payers money nor inconvenience users that use the grounds for recreational purposes.

Dont ruin this historic park.
This was the centre point of indian people in leicester, Cyclist can cycle round as always along the path.

I’m part of a football team that train on the grass and for them to place a cycling path right in the middle of where we play is preposterous
