We the concerned parents, concerned former and current players and concerned community individuals are writing this petition in an effort to show our support for adopting an official policy Prohibiting Parent Coaches at the JV and Varsity levels at Clayton Valley Charter High School.
- We believe that any student athlete awarded a roster position due to the Coach's family relationships, personal or family friendships or any other bias, deprives a deserving player of that roster position. One deserving student athlete left off of a team is too many.
- We believe, Parent Coaches have an inherent bias toward their child resulting in either undue benefits or undue hardship placed upon their child. This is unfair to the player and the parent. The Coach's child will never feel the same sense of accomplishment that other athletes enjoy.
