In the 30 years I've been coming to the desert, I've watched it become more and more rec friendly. More bike lanes, easier running paths - these make the area more appealing and safer. The CV is the logical next step.

Yes yes and yes. Our growing desert needs a safe for cyclists and joggers and golf carts. They don't belong in the road. How many more must die for this to become a reality?

We already live in a desert paradise but the addition of the CV Link shows what tomorrow minded leaders, except Rancho Mirage, can do to make things even better.
