The 192 is vital to my degree studies, as it takes me to Halesowen and connects with the bus for University in Birmingham. It is a vital service for many people wishing to travel to the city.

Local bus services are vital to many people in our community. Many people of all ages would, at a stroke, lose their independence and many may have to move away from friends and family because of lack of transport. Small town centres also stand to lose out as people can no longer access shops and other facilities. The average subsidy per passenger journey is only £1 - that is nothing to provide a public service which is there for everyone to use.

How do they expect older people to get out and about? What about all the housing estates abandoned without any bus service?....not to mention 'strangling' the retail premises in the town(s) i.e. losing their cashflow!

So many people rely on the buses. We're asked all the time to cut back on using cars but if there's no bus service, it just won't happen.

my home county - please think again about cutting these essential bus services. small communities will die and that will change the whole ethos of worcestershire, to its detriment. the long term effects cant be ignored. not maintaining communication lines is definitely not the way forward. it only hastens the demise of communities and then the big boys muscle their way in. that would be disaster.

in redditch they use the logo choose how you move to get more people to use the bus. so getting rid of services in the area defeats the object of the so called saying and you want people not to use there cars but use public transport do you not think of these things went you are doing ciut backs . what a joke

Whilst making severe cuts to this and Social Services in the County the idiots who run it are proposing to waste £1.6 BILLION POUNDS on the Hartlebury Incinerator, an outrageous waste of money!

I see that Councillor Yarranton says that he walked 3 miles to school. I bet he did not have to walk alongside busy narrow roads such as the Wolverley Road on the route between Sion Hill and Wolverley High School. I am about the same vintage as Cllr Yarranton and used the school buses. Mind you this was a time when buses were seen as an essential public service and not an unecessary burden on the county council budget.
