Despite his left-leaning views, NPR claimed that Mr. Williams was "insensitive" in his comments. Since NPR gets over half of its funding from the American taxpayers, I submit that an organization that is publicly funded should not deny opposing free speech that is guaranteed to us by the US Constitution.
NPR would have every right to submit a liberal viewpoint and silence those who disagree with them if they were a privately-owned company, but since they are funded by our tax dollars they should be held accountable for their attempts to silence all opposition. Please join my movement to cut off government funding to this organization and defend our right to free speech. It is our greatest privilege to allow our voice to be heard no matter what your ideology.

Until this past week, I worked for a statewide public radio station. Believe me....no one there is unbiased or open minded!! They do everything they can to promote the left's agenda. It started out as a dream job, but after 4 years there I was very disappointed. finances are poorly managed and miss used....cut backs on every while directors salaries are very high getting a 1200-2500 increase every year.
