I've had aep my whole life in va, never was a fan but put up with it. Now my bill went from a car payment to almost a house payment. Yup, I'm ready for change. If you don't find a solution, then I surely will.

I'm being charged double this year compared to last year. Live in the same exact house with the exact utilities and appliances as last year! This is ridiculous!

My electric bill went up by $75.00 even though I cut off and unplugged all small appliances I wasn't using, (coffee maker, electric can opener, unplugged DVD player,
computer, alarm clocks, radio clocks, cut my thermostat down to 67 degreels), my pipes froze up already. I am going to be forced out of my small home pretty soon,
literally, as I can't afford the electric bill. I know that they are cheating me, I am going to make a formal complaint to the government dept. that is over AEP . We can't let them get buy with this, it is just getting, worse, and worse. They don't care if we are out in the street living, as long as they can get their greedy hands on every last penny that we have. Then the CEO and his rich cronnies, can have lavish lifestyles,
as well as go on lavish vacations, with their friends and family, at our expense, after they steal from us, by falsely running up our electric bills.
Please people, put a stop to this evil way of doing business, "NOW"!!!!!!!!!!!

Why should customers have to pay for AEP shutting down their coal fired power plant and taking the easy way out and merging with the West Virginia company. They should have spent the money putting scrubbers on the plant they had.

A tremendous amount of respect is given to the employees who keep our power on; however, company expenses should never be passed on to customers. Families are out of work, some out of their homes, and cannot afford the extra expense to keep your company running. Budget management is needed to prevent these expenses from being passed on to your customers.
