The emails I receive from neighbors show just how much these parking restrictions threaten our ability to work and live here. It is exhausting to fight these bureaucratic battles but I am still working through the paperwork to ensure our objections are formally logged with the council.

Reaching this point has been a long and draining road for those of us who rely on these streets. It is clear I am not the only one feeling the weight of this impending change. We move forward because we have no other choice.

I object to the extent of the proposed parking restricttions and do not see the need for such restrictions to extend so far from both city centre or station. I do not agree that the majority of these streets will suffer any inconvenience or safety concerns in allowing current zoning to continue as is.
As an employee of a local business, parking in St Albans is extremely expensive and availability is lacking most spaces are filled by 8 am in the surrounding areas.
Big houses / big driveways / don't need residents parking
This is not necessary, most residents would be out during office hours.
The proposed parking restrictions are unnecessary
I object to the introduction of these parking restrictions on the grounds that many of the residences in these streets have ample off-road parking.

Worth remembering that this is a mixed residential and commercial part of St Albans and has been for many years. If residents want businesses and their workers out then they will instead get more residents arriving in their place (with cars) and higher local taxes because the council's business rate take will go down - much of Grosvenor Road is already converting to flats with inadequate parking. Be careful what you wish for!
