The Culver Crest neighborhood is overbuilt as it is, and it would be beyond dangerous to eliminate the R1 zoning. The roads would become impassible and then hill would literally collapse under the weigh.

This is garbage. Way to try and ruin our neighborhood. You already tossed that 3% transfer tax on us (that builders are exempt from)… now this?

More data needs to be gathered and shared transparently with CC residents; and nonprofit housing developers need to be part of the plan

The original city planners were wise. The small streets that dead end at LA Ballona creek are not made for a huge influx of cars and densely packed multi units, causing traffic, parking issues and vacancies from overbuilding and loss of the unique and beautiful architecture of the original homes. Please don't strip Culver city of its gifts by selling it away to the select few developers that will hit and run, taking the cash and leaving a ruined city. I have lived and paid taxes here for many years. Let Culver City continue for families, not corporations and developers. Do not eliminate R1/single family zoning in Culver City.

I do not believe this is the solution. Most residential areas in CC are already on small lots and to increase the amount of housing on such lots will lead to dense overcrowding. Also the problem of parking will increase as there already is inadequate parking in most of our residential areas. The only one that will benefit are the developers who can get more profit out of their lots with no benefit to the city. Who will provide infrastructure for this new population? Why are you not looking at changing commercial zoning to residential? There is along strip of available property along Jefferson that could/should be considered. This is not a positive move forward for Culver City and should be rejected!

I do not believe this has anything to do with the history of Culver City. This is about money, pure and simple. This is just another way around Prop. 13 by allowing turnover of properties to increase tax revenue among other ways to increase revenue. Additionally, the City Council knows that if they do not do this, the turnover stagnates and there will be little revenue from that. Lastly, the gentrification of Los Angeles will continue unabated. Nothing will stop this, nothing. Those who "work their tails off" will always want to live in nice clean, crime-free neighborhoods. You will never be able to remove that incentive, never. SS

I am against changing our neighborhood zoning from single family to multi-unit. It will ruin the sense of community, and I don’t believe that is will solve the housing crisis. I vote in every election, and will be carefully watching the choices of each council member.

NO to proposed change! Huge bldgs, horrible traffic, continued unaffordable housing. City will no longer be a community environment and developers will profit. Another plan is needed for affordable housing because this plan will not alleviate this problem. This plan will result in more unaffordable housing and extremely high density in an already stressed infrastructure.
