I agree with the effective solutions that were outlined on the flier, instead of taking away R1. There is such a thing as quality of life. When a city gets too crowded that quality of life is gone. We'll see what happens when the Amazon employees will occupy their newly constructed buildings soon on Ince where I live close to. And people, stop with the ugly and unproductive mantra of racial inequity, which is now paraded as the culprit for everything. Hogwash!!
Equality, opportunity, hard work and family values are always the recipe for succes. And giving those who are in need a helping hand.

Do NOT eliminate R1 zoning in Culver City. CC has its small town charms and quaint houses. It has character. DO NOT destroy it. It is not housing shortages but housing affordability due to big investment group and speculators buying and flipping the property that are raising the prices. We need to put a limit on these. In addition, traffic congestion is getting worse and worse by the day with drivers zipping through the narrow street in the neighborhood to avoid the major intersection.

As a home owner in Culver City, I DO NOT support the City Council decision to discuss the elimination of R1/single-family home zoning. Sorry to be blunt, but there is no affordable housing in Culver City nor do we need it. We do not live in California because it is affordable nor do we want our FAMILY neighborhood where our children play to be overrun by renters who typically do not care about the safety and well-being of the neighborhood itself. Just look at the traffic, trash and safety violations before, during and after a Culver City High School football game. People who do not live here, litter, speed and move on without a care for the neighborhood. And let's be honest, are we not over-populated enough? Let's keep Our City, Culver City, family oriented and if you want to live somewhere affordable, then by all means move to an affordable area. Culver City is not that place.

We don’t need more traffic on these small streets. Traffic in downtown CULVER CITY is already horrible. It takes 15 minutes to go about five blocks. There are stoplights at every corner and the traffic flow is terrible. We don’t need more of that.

The reason I moved to Culver City was because of the single-family neighborhoods. Please stop ruining our neighborhood. The congestion is unbelievable! Please stop all this unnecessary construction!!!

My wife, Stefani Ames, and I are long-time residents of Carlson Park. We are both opposed to this outrageous proposal to eliminate single-family zoning in Culver City. We believe it has the potential to destroy our beautiful neighborhood.

Eliminating R1 and upzoning will only make the neighborhood more crowded with cars and make parking more difficult than it already is. Additionally, it will not create affordable housing. It’ll simply drive up home and rental prices.
