Do not eliminate R1 Zoning. As a resident and homeowner in Culver City I do not appreciate the Culver City Council holding meetings in the middle of the night as to shove down our throats new unpopular and unacceptable zoning changes that affect home owners. The premise that ridding our neighborhoods of R1 zoning will some how lead to more affordable housing is a false premise. Rezoning away R1 is just a way to expídete developers to increase density in our neighborhood and make money and also for the city to collect more in property taxes none if that makes housing more affordable it just increases crowding and traffic and diminishes the quality of life for the current residents, I will volunteer my time to organize and get the regressive greedy people out of office. “The people United will never be defeated “

Keep R 1 single-family zoning in Culver City. Incentivize the building of ADUs to increase affordable housing stock.

Eliminating R1/Single housing areas will destroy what makes Culver City one of the most desirable area to live in. If we wanted to live in Los Angeles we would have bought property in that city. I am adamantly opposed to changing the current zoning.

There is already large multi-story buildings being build in culver city. Rezoning is a bad idea specially people living near school, church and surrounded by large buildings.

Solutions to the housing shortage requires a surgical approach, not a blanket approach that could impact neighborhoods. I’m all for affordable housing and I’m not trying to be a NIMBY type person here. It just doesn’t seem like they appropriate approach

I am opposed to eliminating single-family zoning in Culver City. It will irreversibly change our City. It will not address the need for affordable housing. A monumental change such as this should not be rushed, but should be carefully and thoughtfully vetted. A ballot referendum should be considered.

Any change to R-1 zoning which has existed since the founding of Culver City, should be up to voters, not a temporary council. Please bring the decision to a vote.

If there is a plan to build along Balona Creek it will probably be like the Santa Monica Airport plans to enrich the Real Estate interests with homes that will do nothing to benefit the homeless and diminish the values of the current property owners.

I purchased my property in 1969. I raised 5 children in this wonderful family friendly neighborhood. Due to current violence I believe families would be safer in the current zoning. A change in the zoning would impact traffic making it too dense. This community has been well Served by CC Police. They have kept our community safe for families and all. Please, please DO NOT change the zoning. Thank you.
