Culver City Council: Do not eliminate R1/single-family zoning in Culver City.

Different people and different families have different housing needs. Let's not take steps backwards......let's care about everyone and their needs. Next, you'll decide how many males and females will be allowed......We need to stop and think before making rash judgments.........

This City Council needs to listen to RESIDENTS, and not RAM through plans without citizens input and feedback.

Zoning changes in R1 neighborhoods will not create more affordable housing. What it will do is generate profitable development at the expense of existing residents, increase congestion, stress existing infrastructure and lead to a deteriorating experience of living in Culver City.

This will not solve affordable housing issue. Units built will most likely be as costly as current rentals. So much building already impacting our community, traffic, parking, etc

Upzoning will destroy the nature of homes in Culver City and will NOT make it any easier to buy a home! All based on false assumptions and attempts to assuage feelings of guilt for long ago zoning restrictions based on race that no longer exist.

This would just be wrong. Parking is already a nightmare & for a lot of people the charming neighborhoods are what drew them here.

I hope they don't ignore the resisdences voices like they have been doing in the past.

For God's sake leave it alone already!

Doesn’t make any sense, cities have R1 zones for a reason and all the other zoning accordingly. It’s like city planning by people who don’t know what their planning.

It’s important to keep Culver City the family-friendly neighborhood we know and love. High density living would cause a whole host of problems to occur. Thank you.

Please don’t do this. Upzoning R1 lots is not the solution.

There are so many reasons not to rush into this decision. Here is just one that isn't mentioned in this petition: where will all these new residents park? Our streets are already overcrowded.

Don’t sell out Culver City to developers.

Changing the zoning in our neighborhoods is not the answer and will end up devaluing everyone's property. There are under-utilized areas that would be better suited and other approaches that would be more effective.

Do not eliminate single-family zoning (R1) in Culver City. This will benefit only those who are trying to make money and who, mostly likely, do not even live in the Culver City neighborhoods that will be affected. There are other paths that can be taken that will provide affordable, suitable housing AND keep the integrity and quality of life in the neighborhoods.

Keep our Culver City neighborhoods safe and consistant

There are plenty of commercially zoned, under-utilized areas where it makes sense to change the zoning to mixed use. Upzoning single family neighborhoods is a disaster waiting to happen.
