As 43 year residents of Culver City, we treasure our home in an R-1 neighborhood. The lack of density has allowed us to know our neighbors, and to be part of a close, stable and caring community. Keep the R-1 zoning!

Eliminating R1 runs counter to city councils decision in 2020 to reduce FAR to 0.45 for R1 lots. This was done to preserve the neighborhood feel and limit the size of McMansions. Eliminating R1 zoning will exponentially make things worse.

We need to preserve our property values. Leave single-home zoning in neighborhoods. But with new condos down Washington Blvd,, let't have a percentage of those be low-income units so people can afford to live here.

This will destroy the neighborhoods that we thought we were getting when we paid exorbitant prices for our homes. This is just another get-rich-quick developers scheme!

Totally ridiculous proposal that allows developers to take over residential neighborhoods. Proposed by City Council members who have no concern for the well-being of the City or its tax paying and voting home owners. One is not even a home owner in Culver City so does not even pay property taxes. As a 45 year home owner and tax payer in this city I am appalled by these actions. Our neighborhoods would be overbuilt and our small homes engulfed by large multi units. This would do nothing to assist low income residents as multi units would rent or sell at market rate. This Council had already forced rent control n attacked our loyal Police - why continue to allow them to destroy our city and neighborhoods.

Keep R1 or R2 zoning in Culver City. This has always been a wonderful place to live. But as all these big places are built we’re losing are small town charm.

The GPAC has been working on how to find middle housing and fulfill the RHNA requirements that Culver City needs. The conclusions and the 2+ years of community input and workshops should be incorporated into this discussion. Also, if R-1 is to be changed/eliminated, it should be a ballot measure. Not a vote by City Council. I am for building more affordable housing and understand the great needs we face. There are many ways to fulfill our obligations without changing R-1.

Getting rid of R-1 zoning will not solve any of the housing problems in our community. Our current city council wants to just say they are solving this problem with this vote instead of the hard work needed to plan out a solution for the affordable housing needed in Culver City. If you don't want to put in the work-don't run for city council! I expect better from the members of our city council.
