Have sent THREE scathing emails to the CC COUNCIL. None read as they hide behind their COVID council room so that we can’t go in mass.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME CULVER CITY? You YOU are destroying the very reason people want (wanted) to live here. Stop this BS now. Ugh... I've lived my entire life here - 1/2 a century now... and now I just can't stand the over building here. The infrastructure is not designed to "keep cramming people in". Do you not see that? I am against rezoning R1 completely. I have lived in Culver my entire life and if this goes thru it will ruin our city. Culver will no longer be a community of neighbors who know and lookout for each other. It will become a New York borough, where you don't know your neighbors, crime increases and property value decreases. The middle class and families will slip away from Culver city and seak residence in cities where they don't have to live next to an apartment building

The Culver City Council vote of 3-2 makes me very sad. As someone who grew up in Culver City and has a business there, I think the charm of our city will suffer.

The proposed zoning change will do NOTHING to improve housing availability for the people that lost housing due to mental health issues, addiction, the economy or multiple other causes. With the current costs of land/housing in Culver City none of those people will find housing without some sort of government aid and some outside of the box thinking. Because this problem has been going on so long and just had bandaids thrown at it, city state and federal governments will have to come up with a practical (actually workable) plan. That plan should not include destroying neighborhoods.

Culver City already has other areas zoned for affordable housing construction. What is the real reason why our neighborhood is being targeted?
