Don't change Culver City from a place of mostly single family homes. Upzoning is just plain stupid and must be rejected.

R1 zoning is foundational to our community. Don’t allow for developers to exploit our family focused neighborhoods.

We have an incredibly inclusive community representing folks from all different backgrounds and income levels in this city. There is no need to destroy single-family zoning which will affect all people whether identified as white, native, or people of color who worked so hard to buy a home in Culver City.

Let’s talk about the real reason. Taxes Taxes Taxes. More properties crammed in more revenue for the city. Got to pay for those pensions.

I am strongly opposed to upzoning. Keep R1 single family zoning in tact.

Please please do not let this rezoning come to pass. We like our neighborhood the way it is with single family residences. Do not destroy the culture of our city!

Do not go forward with this upzoning. We will become another Palms with single family homes turning into apartment buildings. There will be no home ownership, just expensive apartments. On streets where you have allowed a single property to be divided into two properties the new homes sold for two million dollars. How does that make housing affordable??

Do not change our R1/single family zoning. This is why we have choice to live here.

As a 31 year resident of Culver City, we came here because of the resident community. I urge the Culver City Council to not rush into changing the R1/single family zoning of Culver City without ensuring all residents are in agreement. Don't change our neighborhoods.

This policy would guarantee that developers price out anyone hoping to buy a single family home in our neighborhood. How can this have proceeded to this point without some democratic process to include the voices of the residents of the most impacted neighborhoods? I understand the importance of increasing housing supply in LA, and the problems of affordability that exist today. So if removing single family zoning must happen I would understand. But there must also be guidelines and restrictions in place to prevent the complete destruction of the trees and setbacks that make our neighborhood so incredible, and caused me to move to Culver City in the first place. That can only happen through an open process, not by rushing a unilateral mandate past your constituents.
