Culver City Council: Do not eliminate R1/single-family zoning in Culver City.

Do not take away our single family neighborhood!

I am very much against changing the zoning.

Preserve SFH. That is what makes Culver City so desirable. I am 2nd generation and have lived in CC for 68 years. This City does not need to be diluted with Multi Tenant affordable housing, I agree the only ones who profit are the developers.

The McMansions are bad enough!! Do NOT eliminate R1!!!

We have lived in Culver City since 1953We have always loved the small town feel even with so many changes . Please do not change the R1 zoning. It will impact our home value and impact our schools which is one of our city's greatest asset

NO to the elimination of R1 zoning!! A petition for recall will be the next petition seen by any member of the Culver City city council who votes for elimination of R1.

I disagree with elimination of R-1 zoning in Culver City. Single-family homes are an important part of the community and should not be jeopardized with this upzoning proposition.

I moved from Santa Monica 5 years ago. It had sold his soul to developers. Out of hand building has gone up, how much of which "affordable"? That's the sound of laughter you are hearing. Don't make the same mistake. There are ways to met new housing goals, killing single family lots is neither the wise choice, nor the ethical one. The soul of a city is not found in developers' bottom lines. Neither is affordable housing.

We have been living in a single-family residential zone of Culver City for last 47 years. We love it. We strongly oppose to eliminate R1/ single-family zoning. The developers would build multiplexes that would increase the crimes, conjession and pollution if the R1 zoning is eliminated. Also our education system and police department will be impacted. The quality life will be deteriorated.

Im horrified the City Council trying to push this through. Definitely oppose changes to residential zoning of single family homes.

I have lived in Culver City for 59 years, my girls attended school in CC schools, I have always felt proud and honored to live in a small community that felt like a small hometown. Evidently, those times are over because of the past transgressions of people none of us knew or even were aware of. If we keep going back, we will never go forward or even live for today. I love my single family home and will do whatever is humanly possible to not allow any change to our wonderful neighborhoods.

Slow Down and Slow Growth! Limit rampant speculation in favor of true affordability. Culver City residential neighborhoods do not need , and our infrastructure will not support, more density of development beyond current ADU allowances. Develop mixed use in commercial/industrial and underused or abandoned areas. Guarantee a fair percentage of newly developed units at a guaranteed fair price as affordable housing for lower income people. Allow significantly more time for fair notice to entire community and for community feedback and dialogue.

Absolute insanity - there is no way the Culver City Council has the authority to do this.
