This makes no sense to me! What city council member hates Culver City so much that they would pass this measure?

We have lived here for over 30 yrs and enjoy our neighborhood so much and have diversity. Limiting 'over population' of development along certain areas just simply adds to the pleasure of quietness, safety for our children, less traffic. Please do not eliminate R1 zoning!

I think it’s a terrible idea to change zoning from R 1

Preserve Culver City single family homes because investors will sell those houses at or above market value, not affordable at all! Then leave and not care about the city at all!

Investors will be there for the money, and ruin Culver City’s safe neighborhood and close-knit neighborhoods. There is no way they will sell multi-family house way below market price!

Every multiunit building that has been built in our area of town is extremely expensive. This does not guarantee low prices and all of us scraped to finally buy a single-family home for us and our children for generations to come to have multi unit apartment building next to us with people who don’t care about the neighborhood or pay property taxes would be devastating to the character of this city. They can move.

I completely agree that,
"Changing R1 zoning will NOT result in building more affordable or low-income housing. Developers and builders are the only ones who win in the upzoning scenario."

Do not eliminate R1 zoning... Have you done an extensive study that eliminating R1 will be the solution to the housing disparity in the city of Culver City ?

I own a home in R-1 zoned Culver City and am appalled that the city council wants to change my zoning. I have lived here for over 67 years because I love this city as it is. Change it, and I'm gone!

I’m very concerned about the rezoning change issues. I d not want our city to turn into Palms where single family residences are few and far between. One of the reasons we bought our home in CC in 1976 is that we like the neighborhoods the way they are! We don’t want a bunch of condos built in our neighborhood. We urge the city council to NOT eliminate R1/single family zoning in our wonderful city!
