So, CTR WEEKEND in Hamilton is being put together again and we're just trying to gather the general feeling amongst the YSA.
Specifically,
"How do you feel about Auckland YSA being invited to our Hamilton CTR weekend?".
As you may know previous years have had many Auckland YSA attend and we want to know, is this something you want this year?
If you would prefer having Auckland YSA attend this year we ask that you join this 'petition' (that's not a petition).
Please bear in mind that this is for market research purposes only, this is not a 'sign-up' with any binding effect. Just to let us know what general thought is.
Priesthood leaders, under the direction of the spirit will make any final decisions that may or may not reflect the outcome of this research campaign.
Simply put, if you'd prefer Auckland YSA to be invited then sign. If not, then don't.

Allowing YSA from Auckland to come increases the chance of meeting new people. It brings unity between the YSA in NZ as a whole. I've loved attending the CTR weekends and I'm from Auckland and I've developed really strong friendships with non-Auckland YSA that I wouldn't have met otherwise. Definitely keep allowing Auckland YSA to attend!!!
I think that it should be open as it seems a bit discouraging when other stakes and regions aren't invited. We are such a close church and live off being "brothers and sisters" so may as well open it up. So being an Auckland YSA myself. I would love to be invited.
I was an Auckland YSA who previously went to 2 CTR weekends. Great weekend, amazing activities, friendships made and built and overall a beautiful spirit to the weekend. If more than just the Hamilton YSA can have that type of experience WHY NOT! The more the merrier
I was an Auckland YSA that attended the 2014 CTR weekend. There I met my husband (a hamilton YSA). These weekends work and everyone should be able to go to meet people outside of their region.
Let them Come. Diversity is a strength to the church and the world. The more opinions and perspectives we have expressed throughout that convention, the better. Also it reaffirms in the hearts and minds of all who attend that the church is ORGANIZED in to different stakes, areas and regions, not SEPARATED.
I think it would be an awesome opportunity to mix and mingle xx
Hamilton YSA know each so well, we need to change it up, so let's open those pearly gates and let those Aucklanders in lol ;)

I think the decision should reflect the purpose of the weekend. Why does Hamilton host a CTR Weekend? If it is to create unity and a spiritual experience within Hamilton then I don't know if people from Auckland necessarily need to be invited. But if the purpose is to create an opportunity to strengthen testimonies, create new friendships that may lead to marriage then yes I think Auckland should be included. If I can also add, next time please create more activities to fulfill the purpose as last year we weren't able to get to know anyone new with the activities that were put on. Although it was fun and enjoyable. Thanks for all the hard work!
