Oppose the construction of a Concrete Plant on River Road

Pleaseb don't ruin the incredible economic and community-enhancing potential of the new botanical gardens by allowing a loud and unsightly plant that could go on many other sites without causing any problems.

Wrong location. We need more condos, businesses or green space.

This plant would cause traffic and environmental concerns to an area of parks and outdoor activity. Please find a new site.

NO WAY!! You all already built the bridge; STOP making one of the prettiest drives is Louisville horrific.

Very concerned about the environmental and health issues related to this type of plant. Not in my neighborhood!

I live in nearby Indian Hills and drive this scenic byway on my way to and from downtown. This is a stretch of highly-utilized parks and landmarks and would be degraded need industrialization.

Concrete production raises multiple environmental and health concerns for the communities who live and work around it. In addition to containing fly-ash, a by-product of coal burning power plants; which contains arsenic, lead,cadmium, and selenium; known carcinogens, the stone used in concrete production can also contain radioactive mineral elements.

Please do not allow this to happen!!

Oh HELL NO! I live off River Road and the traffic is AWFUL already. The last thing we need are cement trucks -- which in the past year have killed several citizens including that young girl by the 2nd street bridge. Mr. Bardenwerper: I notice you represent every idiotic development idea in this city. Wouldn't your talents be better served actually working to improve the quality of life for our community as opposed to continually advocating for BAD IDEAS? And to Greg Fischer: if this is your idea of economic development, your current team needs to be fired and bring in some talent that will move the city forward and not take it back to the industrial past.

Terrible idea! Dusty, industrial waterfront is 70s Louisville.

This is in no way a good idea for this area. Increased traffic from people rushing to work will likely end up with more motor vehicle collisions or worse pedestrian injuries.

Please do not allow this proposal to build a concrete plant!!

From the perspective of the River as well as River Rd., the River front has and is evolving in such a fashion that new industrial construction would be a terrible and long term setback

Don't ruin the area with this stuff! I live in the Clifton area and I don't want it turned into an industrial zone. Big trucks hauling industrial materials ruin roads and make it more dangerous for everyone. Plus, river road is a nice area in its own right - the last thing we need is a huge concrete plant expansion in this area.

Do not allow such an eyesore to ruin the beauty of scenic River Road.

You allowed all the local clubs to get shut down and you want to let a concrete plant settle where people use to play. We have spent years making the area beautiful. No!

I agree this would drastically and negatively affect the scenic view of our riverfront.

Beautiful historic Water Tower and Champions Park accented by another ugly industrial plant to tear up the road even more.... I vote NO on the Concrete Plant.

A concrete plant? In River Road? Way out of place! River Road is pretty crowded as it is and the view is quite pleasant. All that could be negatively affected by this facility being built there.

I don't believe a concrete facility should be able to operate heavy industrial trucks and machinery in this area.
