I’ve only lived in the area for 8 months and have already been “evacuated” from my home once and put “on watch” another time after what we southerners would consider an afternoon rainstorm, due to the threat of, not one, because the threat of two falling structures or houses, as we like to call them, on either side of my house, literally Fire Marshall’s showed up at my house asking me if any living humans were inside....just me and the kids....
While I’m all for real estate development but when the real estate is fixing to fall in a mild Rain storm and that can’t be fixed, so the solution is to use more concrete that screws up even more natural drainage... y’all crazy up in this hood...fix your situations before you build more situations..

The impact on Nichols Canyon Road with construction of a 15k sq. ft house, would damage/destroy the Canyon from many aspects, including safety of residents, visitors and wildlife. Please stop this development NOW.

to build this massive proposed 15,000 sq ft home" will cause untold stress and dangers on Nichols canyon in that location, and, in addition, the surrounding streets, homes and residents - as well as wildlife -- will be inconvenienced for several years.

Enough is Enough, we must preserve the little land and wild life we have. This is no place for for a massive construction. Nichols Canyon was a beautiful quiet canyon when I first moved here. It has become like the 405, we can barely get out of our driveway. We are destroying our environment and its wildlife.

This project is completely out of proportion and dangerous, it will be a liability for the whole neighborhood. Absolutely unacceptable.

On the bright side, WAZE traffic jams would decrease during construction! ...Otherwise, any sort of mega-construction is totally out of context with Nichols Canyon.

3113 Nichols Canyon Road
The project is completely incompatible with the size and topography of the canyon and the surrounding wildlife and open space, a space that benefits the entire city in terms of health and recreation. With directional apps having at least tripled the traffic on the small, winding two-lane road in recent years, driving will be untenable during the long period of construction. The sewer system of the canyon, its risk of brush fires, and the risk of erosion and flooding during wet years argues against such a large and incompatible project. As a long-time resident I am unalterably opposed to this project.

Allowing a huge project and eventual building to be put in the proposed area would be potentially damaging to the surrounding area

This an unacceptable development, that would clearly have an effect on the community and safety of Nichols Canyon. The developer should certainly have to work with the community to ensure their impact is positive given how many families and longstanding residents would be affected.
Disgraceful,the beginning of the end.
STOP IT NOW!

This project will impact the entire community, the already congested roads, and does not fit within the character of Nichols Canyon.

The impact Nichols Canyon is sustaining from being used as a thoroughfare is enough. It was not developed for this much traffic due to map programs, tourism push from the community to redevelop Hollywood Blvd. , and has become unsafe from mudslides and non maintained trees.

How does a project of this scale and obvious malposition, on such a small road that is used as a thoroughfare between The Valley and Los Angeles/Hollywood, in an environmentally sensitive region, get approval. One has to wonder... Hopefully this will be carefully reviewed and modified or stopped. Your immediate attention to this matter is appreciated.

We've lived in the canyon since 1978 and have seen changes in the past few years that have greatly affected the canyon in a negative way. The WAZW APP has brought terrible traffic into the canyon most mornings and evenings, and certain construction of new homes has made navigating the canyon difficult. This new project seems completely outrageous for a narrow canyon like ours. We've been losing the character of our canyon over the years, and this just seems unnecessary, and almost diabolic.
