if you ask for work done should you not pay your bills? is that like offering a service lkr emptying my bins and not expecting me to pay for that service.

councils should be funding rescue centres like crosskeenan as a matter of course. they waste enough money on free dinners and councillors expenses!
Crosskennan shud never close! they did the council a huge favor, so pay up!!!

It is with great sadness that i have read your article on the closure of Crosskeenan. The work that the Crosskeenan staff and volunteers carry out on a daily basis is nothing short of brilliant. Belfast City council should be ashamed. It is time for the people in this country to stand up and be counted. I wonder what Belfast City Council would say if i refused to pay my rates bill!!!. Sick and tired of bureaucrats doing whatever suits them.

Crosskeenan do a fantastic job as we have seen here, they are the only Sanctuary I am aware of who care for horses/ponies and there is a massive problem with unwanted horses at present. With Crosskeenan's future now as risk, the council need to pay as they agreed and ensure Crosskeenan can continue their invaluable rescue work.
