Cross Walk for Dodge Park Entrance

This is a beautiful area and safety needs to be the number 1 concern.

I would love this to see this petition go a step further, Commerce Twp. needs to have pedastrain paths. All of our surrounding communities have paths for pedastrains. My crossroads are Union Lake and Richardson. My family can barely travel by car with all of the traffic in Commerce Twp. and trying to commute on foot or bike is not an option. We are literately trapped in our subdivison!

We need a light for the park more than the one they installed by Longs farm.

We agree 100%!! We hate crossing that road, because of ther distracted We agree 100%!!! Let's all get together and get this done before someone is seriously hurt or killed.

I live in Commerce and drive that stretch often and agree that it is unsafe for pedestrian crossings. Even the crossing north of the park entrance is inadequate. There is not enough notice to motorists that pedestrians are crossing and as a result you are on or past the crossing walkway before you think of braking.

It's just a matter of time before a pedestrian is hit and killed.

I agree that they need to put in a pedestrian bridge and also a stop sign that with signal as well. I live in Commerce twp as well and when I was younger I use to live right across the street from the park entrance there on S. Commerce Rd. It's very dangerous right there. These people need to be slowing down and watching for people that need to cross the street. Susie I'm glad you are doing something about this and hopefully something will be done before next year.

It would be great if there was a light at the entrance to Dodge Park. It is very difficult and dangerous to exit this park after weekend soccer games.

I agree that a pedestrian bridge would be the safest way for people to cross S. Commerce to the park and to reach the walking path.. Lets put pressure on the township to address this issue.

Should definitely be a crosswalk!! Imagine something terrible happening because a SIMPLE pedestrian walkway to a PARK of all places, for the community was ignored.
