I have been hearing from so many of you who spent your entire childhoods swimming in these spots and it really makes the potential loss feel so much heavier (which is exactly why I cannot let this happen). I am currently drafting a letter for the council members that details every single story I have received because they need to see that these pools are not just concrete basins but actual parts of our history.

I checked the screen and just stared at it for a minute because this momentum is actually happening and it is giving me so much hope that we can keep those pools open for everyone. It is wild to think about how many people care about Croki and Manning Point just as much as I do when honestly I was worried at the start that maybe I was the only one who felt this way.

Ridiculous idea. Keep the pools open. Where are the local kids supposed to go in the heat?
so many memories at these pools. really sad to see council trying to cut funding to the stuff that actually matters.
my kids have been swimming at croki for years. such a shame they want to shut it down. hope council listens for once.
Manning point pool is essential for the summer holidays. please reconsider this decision.

Great areas for the summer and netting is important for the safety of the swimmers
