The funding for the Bunbury Crisis Care Centre was finally approved today. I am drained from this long haul but seeing this come to fruition makes every sleepless night worth it. We have the space now so let us get to work.

Final supporters
Doors Wide Open are all about supporting loved ones of people affected by methamphetamine's. We want to establish a Crisis Care Centre in Bunbury where families and friends of those affected can go to get support, education and information using our already established resources.
We have identified a massive gap in the system where people who care for users and those affected are in crisis and have no where to turn. We are filling that gap and creating a community of support and care without judgement and stigma.
We need to secure a premises as soon as possible, without a place to work from we are not able to properly support and educate all the people who are coming to us, what we are doing is working and we need to be able to bring it to the wider community now!!

We have been battling this addiction with our son for over 10 years feels like there has never been any help we have sent him to a rehab over east because he could not get into rehab in WA when he decided he needed it.
I need this centre. I have struggled alone with the fallout from my adult daughters meth use since late 2013. I also have a friend who is going through the same in Bunbury. It is common now.
Wish this around 3 years ago. Might have helped my son stay out of jail. He has a daily ongoing battle with mental health and turned to meth. We need this type of support as this drug is ruining lives families communities
Meth has completely Changed the dynamics of my family. Fortunately my partner has overcome his addiction but my sister is still heavily influenced by the drug. With my parents now full time careers for her two young children something needs to be done. Very supportive of this amazing group.
This is a service that wr desperately need in Bunbury. I work in childcare & seevthecresilts if the ICE epidemic on the next generation and its frightening. Granparents left looking after grandchildren with no financial or emotional support.
Everyone deserves a chance at life and sometimes that involves a second chance. Don't give up on those who need us the most. If these people are your loved ones, you would wish only the best for them.

Together we can have and bring hope to many families . Please share and help get this initiative up and going . As a parent I wish this had been available , I would of still had my boy .
