The pub is a vital part of the village for us all and needs to stay! I have lived in the village since I was born and remember going there when I was young. My father, his family and friends (including Fred Bone)
have great memories of the pub in years gone by. Fred spent much time in the pub and when he became unwell the Cricketers provided a place of comfort and friendship for him up until he sadly passed away. I have met so many lovely people from the village by going to the Cricketers and support functions that take place and will continue to do so.

We found this pub quite by chance, through a work colleague of mine who was staying in one of the Bed and Breakfast rooms, he suggested a beer after work one day, who am I to refuse, that was 9years ago. I liked it so much I introduced the pub to my wife and have enjoyed going in here weekly ever since, we live in a neighbouring village and don't have a village pub so for us this is a destination local but we know more people here than we do in our own village and both feel thoroughly accepted, it has enabled us to enjoy village life which is what we moved out of town to achieve, however we were naieve to think that village life really happens without the help of a village pub. THE CRICKETERS SHOULD BE SAVED OTHERWISE KINGSLEY IS JUST ANOTHER VILLAGE WITHOUT A REAL IDENTITY/FOCUS

A pub in a community is vital.... it certainly helped me integrate into the village community when I moved to Kingsley as a single parent 8 years ago. However it needs to be run well, good beer, well maintained and welcomjng as it used to be! Save it and get it up to scratch and it will be used fully again, of that I have no doubt!

Spent many a happy hour there. Local pubs are the heart-beat of a small village. Don't expect people to move into houses if there's no pub.

The heart of our village and a cosy, honest pub.
A relaxed, warm and welcoming place - the pub hosted our wedding party in 2016 and we can often be found there on a Friday night with a gang of other parents, children and dogs.
With a little tlc & a proactive new owner, the pub would soon be a real gem, encouraging locals and those from further afield to frequent.
New housing is popping up elsewhere I n the village, bringing with it new residents - the local authority should be doing all within its power to preserve and enhance community assets. Maintaining the pub as a pub is essential.

It is a vital centre of our village. A place to meet up, share interests and support the interests and needs of the wide age range of villagers. If the Pub was was allowed to disappear there would be nowhere to meet socially. We enjoy meeting up on especial days..election days and other special national events as well as for a casual drink.The pub was an absolute life line when we lost our electricity..on several occasions. Given we have no gas in the village, the pub provided meals and warmth and a place to compare misery!
