The New Law: Fine anyone that logs illegally and you have to pay for certain areas to log. Also reduce the areas that you can log. This petition was created to help decrease the rate of deforestation in the United States. If you sign this petition you might think it makes a small impact but it is a big one. Every person that believes they can help with deforestation is a person trying to make the world a better place. There are many effects that deforestation can cause on all environments. By cutting down trees you are taking homes away from animals. Something you may not know is that deforestation increases global warming. By cutting trees down it emits the carbon inside the trees into the atmosphere. The carbon increases the temperature in the atmosphere and affects environments all around the world. You may not have realized how big of an impact trees being cut down and it affect the environment. That is why this petition is needed. The petition will help decrease the rate of 1 football field of trees that are being chopped down each second. I want to get as many people as I can to sign the petition to fine any illegal logging that happens in the United States. My goal is to make this a real law so that it can help the environment. This will also help the 2 billion people in the world that depend on the forest for protection. My final hope is that the laws on deforestation made in The United States will influence other countries to make a change.
