The disparity between existing musical instrument icons and the omission of the trombone remains a notable oversight in digital communication. I am currently drafting a formal proposal to present these concerns to the Unicode Consortium for their next review cycle.

The level of enthusiasm for this initiative has exceeded my initial expectations. It is clear that the lack of a trombone icon is felt deeply across the music community.
