Dear Governor Cuomo,

We, the undersigned, call on you to protect our health, our safety, our property values, our communities, our way of life, and our entire future by instituting a permanent ban on hydraulic fracturing for oil and gas in New York State. Fracking simply cannot be done safely, and nothing short of a ban will protect the residents of New York. We urge you to enact a permanent ban immediately. We also encourage you to respond to the economic crisis and create jobs by investing in clean sustainable energy technologies, energy conservation and education projects, and the retrofitting, refurbishing, or reconstructing of buildings and infrastructure. Again, most important: Enact a permanent ban on fracking, and save our state
