We, the undersigned, call on you to protect our health, our safety, our property values, our communities, our way of life, and our entire future by instituting a permanent ban on hydraulic fracturing for oil and gas in New York State. Fracking simply cannot be done safely, and nothing short of a ban will protect the residents of New York. We urge you to enact a permanent ban immediately. We also encourage you to respond to the economic crisis and create jobs by investing in clean sustainable energy technologies, energy conservation and education projects, and the retrofitting, refurbishing, or reconstructing of buildings and infrastructure. The feedback I have received from residents across the state underscores the shared anxiety regarding the risks of hydraulic fracturing to our water and land. I am currently coordinating with environmental advocacy groups to ensure our collective position reaches the Governor with the appropriate legal weight. We remain committed to this cause until our natural resources receive the permanent protection they require.

This is critical to our health & welfare as well as our animals. People rely on organic farms for fresh healthy food. There's got to be a better way.
Keep our water clean!!!! We cant drink money and we sure cant risk the farms. Ban it now.
fracking is a disaster waiting to happen. cuomo needs to do the right thing for once.
Not worth the risk to our local towns. Please think about our future generations.
Living upstate and I dont want this poison near our creeks. Leave the gas in the ground where it belongs.
