The Coweta County Board of Education finally crumbled and revised the student publication policy to respect the First Amendment. They tried to silence our kids for months but our persistence forced them to do the right thing. Keep watching them closely because we will not let these clowns infringe on …
We, the citizens of Coweta and its surrounding counties, petition the Coweta County Board of Education to relax the current student publication policy to allow the students to properly exercise their First Amendment rights as citizens of the United States. We believe the current policy impedes upon student's rights. Foremost, we believe that all students should be allowed to exercise the rights they have been taught that they were born with. We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to revise the current student publication policy.
The Board of Education can no longer ignore this mounting pressure to respect student speech. Seeing this amount of support proves that Coweta residents are finished with the board suppressing our kids.

Been following this for a while. The school board is way too controlling. Fix it already.

Ridiculous. My daughter was telling me about this policy and it makes no sense. Let the kids write their own paper!

Kids need to learn how to think for themselves. Censorship in schools is just wrong and they deserve a real voice.

Support this 100%. If they are old enough to learn about the constitution they should be allowed to use it.
