As long as the big motors mind the law which it sounds like they are there shouldnt be problems cowan isnt big enough to rip across anyway now if severe weather pops up there shouldnt be a penalty for getting off the lake fast as long as you dont put anyone else in harms way.

Seems like more benefits to unlimited HP with no wake.

I went fishing 5-7-18 at Acton lake. A boat cut right on top of our fishing spot, their battery died and proceeded to fire up up his big outboard on top of our spot. The point is, you'll still run out if not used wisely

I.use to.fish at Cowan as a kid and loved it but now I'm 40. I.have a bass boat you can't run trolling motors all.day you need to be able to at least idle around so you can fish the lake. And what do you do if you get out there and your batters go dead. No.wake at least would be awesome and I would start coming there..

I am 72 yr old. I fished Cowan lake years ago, and really enjoyed it. I have a bass boat , so a no wake rule would allow me to fish Cowan again.

I fish this lake more than any other a 10 hp motor running wide open puts off a large wake.A bigger motor at idle speed puts off NO wake! A gentleman from the sailing assn. asked me last week if I was going to catch all HIS fish.I told him I thought the state owned the lake not the sailing assn.

this needs to be changed under idle speed larger motors actually create less of a wake than kicker motors do

It is a public lake, which at the moment sailboats control. If you are going to keep it for them only stop using my tax dollars and boat registration to keep it up!

It needs to change ,the fishing needs to improve everywhere in the state.

Remember, it goes both ways for a working man, we all can't afford a 150 HP motor either. You get ran over at the bigger lakes, effectively making those lakes off limits to me):
