I was crying when I read this. My son was killed in a car accident age 28,5 years ago. A family member was on the computer and saw that the Fire Dept.that responded to the accident had put up several pictures of my sons jeep. I was so upset that they would do this. I didn't look but my daughter did. She called the fire dept and the mayor of the town.Several friends also called and the pictures were taken down. I was so upset that they would take pictures of an accident that a son and father had died in. Im happy to sign this for you! Im so sorry for you loss.

I couldn't agree more... I believe the pictures should be banned. I lost my brother in a fatal car accident & it baffles me how insensitive people can be. There are stories that appear on the media or Facebook & the graphic pictures and stories are posted before any families have been notified. I understand it's news but there's a limit. My condolences go out to you & your family.

It makes me so angry that those news stations care so little about the privacy of those left behind.

This is sickning that they would do this. I know the feeling since my brother was killed with some friends in a car accident and pictures were posted. Makes me so upset. Sorry for your loss

My cousin was in the car with Courtney and I too saw the picture of the car. I thought it was horrible how easy it was to find on the internet.

A couple of my friends from college were in the pickup that was involved. Had the shoe beenon the other foot, I can only imagine the furry we would all feel seeing his vehicle all over the news and internet. I support your efforts to control the way these images are shared. I'm so very sorry for your loss and wish you peace and luck.

This is such a great cause! I was a part of this accident, I saw her vehicle at the scene. It makes me sick that am officer of the law would find it appropriate to post a picture like this ANYWHERE, not to mention Facebook. This man is of many dishonorable law enforcement officers in this country. These photographs should remain private. Imagine for girls, your daughters, in that car. Would you want this publicized? It's a complete lack of respect to their families, and to the witness' that were trying to help those poor girls. I will not lose my faith that their are good officers out there, but I know that the majority of them don't want to PROTECT us, to SERVE us. If they aren't here to do that, then why are they here? I'm so very sorry that these girls families have to continue to go through this anguish and suffering. Just remember that Courtney and Brittney no longer have to suffer, no longer have to live amongst such petty individuals. They are with God. I think about their families everyday, and I always will.
