The location backgrounds were a considerable asset and attention holding aspect of the course. The guest speakers added varied and expert voices which complemented Jon Stewart's well paced and very listenable lecturing. Stewart's occasional asides on the modern relevance and relationship of K's philosophy to us today was brilliant in enlivening the meaning of K's thinking. In so doing Stewart dusted off the cobwebs of a man who still speaks to us today.

This has been a ery intense course and a very useful one. The format of the lectures were redeemed by the pictorial background to Prof. Stewart's rather low-keyed delivery.
I believe that the ocurse should be offered again for the subject matter is important to our modern age and many persons may not have appropriated enough of the material. I doubt I would be able to complete the final essay in time for the 29th November!

The presentations have been richly detailed and 'presented with a rare and absorbing clarity. There is just the right measure of urgency in the lectures as well as in the thought. Despite the "virtual" character of the lectures, Professor Stewart manages to be personally engaging. The segments' production values are the best I've seen on Coursera -- superbly crafted with beautiful evocations of Kierkegaard's world as he knew it and as it survives today.

The course of Jon Stewart was of great depth. Very seldom, this sort of lectures, in the scientific world.
Insightful as to Kierkegaards thinking. I hope Jon Stewart will offer more courses on Coursera.

This was a very intensive course. The production was great. Heartfelt thanks to the while team. The videos were "beautiful".
Every course on Coursera must be run for several times and this being among the best the site has on offer, should indeed be offered again.
Perhaps, KU should bring in more courses!

This is just a fabulous course in every possible way. I was a philosophy major and never had a class as dynamic and rich as this one. The readings are wonderful and have lead me back to Plato. I would love to see Jon Stewart teaching Anything At All. Very creative.

I really enjoyed the way this course was put together. I loved the tie-in with other thinkers that had bearing on Kierkegaard's life and I felt I was at least introduced to some of those who were only mentioned at the periphery. It makes for good reference to other philosophers. The most important thing to me was that the course stimulated in me a kind of initiation into the type of fulfilling thought, an almost mysterious quality of wanting to do philosophy. I found myself discovering connections before they were pointed out in the lectures and that gave me confidence in my own insights, and therefore empowered me and prompted me to want to learn more. Thanks, it was a gift and very thorough.

Aporetic dialogues that illuminate historical content and the human context in which it occured. Stewart produces amazing lectures and should continue to do so.

Professor Stewart has done a commendable job with this particular medium. While I would not wish to see computer mediated communications come to dominate venues for learning, particularly philosophy, there is no denying that i have personally benefited by participating in Professor Stewart's presentation of Soren Kierkegaard. I would most definitely take another course offered by Professor Stewart

Even though I am completely new to the subject matter, I felt that I learned a lot over the course of just 8 weeks. The course material selection was relevant and the presentation was fantastic. Many thanks to Dr. Stewart and the rest of the team.
