We need competent mental health professionals that are proactive and care about the well-being of students. Of course we need additional staff but quality over quantity is very important. Especially for mental health.

Three weeks is too long to wait for a brief counseling appointment. We need more immediate care available for students.

Online "counseling platforms" are not an effective replacement for human therapists. To even offer such a program shows how little the university cares about the efficacy of its healthcare programs.

Let’s also not forget that you can’t get a doctors excuse from USCs Counseling Services if the only available time is during a class.

I wanted to see my therapist while having a panic attack, but wasn't able to get an appointment for another month. Needless to say, I suffered. I like her and don't feel comfortable talking to anyone else. Hiring more mental health care professionals would ease the load and help those like me who require more aid.

Quality and training of the professionals is what really matters. If you have 80 professionals but they can’t recognize and respond appropriately when someone needs help these additional staff are useless.

My daughter is a student there and needed some help with anxiety. Took her weeks to get into counselor. If she is having anxiety now,
3 weeks from not may help her some but not in the now.

It’s important to be able to have someone to talk to. I hope that USC is able to hire more mental health professionals because it is an often overlooked aspect of student life at the university.

Currently on day #7 of an involuntary withdrawal from the anxiety medication that this office put me on because, as I was told on the phone, “there’s a lot of student...sometimes it just doesn’t work out nicely like that.”

I’ve reached out to counseling before and they simply didn’t reply.

When people are struggling they need more immediate relief. It can take over a month to get an appointment and that is a lot of time for mental health to be declining.

Online modules will NEVER be able to replace in person counseling and it was appalling that you guys thought this was appropriate health care

Please give people Good resources to get the help they need to further better themselves, their education, and society as a whole. It may seem like resources are already being provided but when I told my college counselor I wanted to kill myself, he called me the wrong name repeatedly and was ill equipped to pacify the situation and communicate effectively.

Mental health is important for academic success!
Need to increase help for psychiatry too.
