The events at these venues bring people into the community. They have created jobs and bring in revenue that keeps these historic homes in top condition. This bill needs to be shut down.

Just one of many that needs to be put on a list on who not to vote for again. It seems to me that there is something more going on with this bs..
Could it be some developer wants these properties.. So buy introducing this bill these places will shut down or move else where..
It's sad that business,homes, are not safe anymore..
Let's get rid of the southern charm..

The event industry is booming in Tennessee and is providing incredible tax revenues for our growing cities and state. It would be utter foolishness to stifle that and all the jobs it provides. Beyond that, the outcry from the public would be enormous.

As someone who works for a historic venue in Nashville, I think this bill is ridiculous. It is important to preserve the buildings' histories and allow them to be home to the special memories of the weddings & celebrations held there. Shutting down these three venues in on of the hottest cities for special events will damage the industry, put extra strain on other venues, and result in the loss of business & jobs in Nashville.

The outdoor events held at these historic locations not only aids in supporting the preservation of these properties, and therefore keeping them from requiring more tax dollars to operate; it also is a healthy revenue stream for Nashville. Out of town guests see the historic significance of Nashville and the surrounding areas as beyond country music. Many of these outdoor events are featured in trade and national magazines which amounts to free advertising for Nashville. As more brides chose non-traditional ceremonies, and charity and corporate events are looking beyond a boring ballroom, blocking outdoor events at historic locations will likely make Nashville lose events and therefore, sales tax dollars. As the sales tax is our only means of government income, we would be best served by supporting events that generate business.

With Nashville being highlighted as 'the' city for visitors including destination weddings, this bill would greatly impact the perception of Southern hospitality with significant financial impact to venues, hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions since it's not just a bride and groom but their guests who come to celebrate - not to mention a community of businesses that depend on these venues for income.

Please don't shut down what people are using to for business. You have no idea how many people will suffer in their self owned business if this goes through. Please work with the people instead of fighting them for reasons I can't seem to find or understand. That should be your first duty as a public servant. Thank you.

These historic sites are excellent sources of both beauty and revenue and should NOT be shut down (particularly in light of the fact that all have vendors/brides/parties/meetings booked YEARS in advance).

I was married at Cedarwood, and they put on such a wonderful event for us. I can't imagine taking that away from other soon to be brides.

I live not far from cederwood and truly enjoy seeing it decorated for a wedding. I feel this is not fair. I also live not far from fontel is it under the same rules? It is a historical place?
