Colchester United Community Sports Trust has announced that it is to
cease trading with immediate effect, meaning that all activities at
Shrub End and other venues will no longer be available to our children.

Whilst we may not be able to have a full programme of activites again,
it seems right that Colchester Borough Council should be asked to step
in a provide some skeleton services such as the ever-popular football
lessons on Mondays and Fridays.

These lessons provided a welcome introduction to the sport in a friendly
and gently-competitive environment. They will be much missed by all the
children involved.

If you would like to see Colchester Borough Council provide funding to
help bring back these lessons, then please sign the petition below.

Ridiculous decision. Get this sorted out asap. Kids need these activities to stay active and get out of the house.

My son loves those Monday sessions. It is the only sport he actually enjoys. Please keep it going.

Total disgrace. They find money for all sorts of rubbish but cant fund local youth football? Fix it.

Absolutely gutted. Shrub End has been a staple for us for years. The council need to open their wallets.
