There’s a four and a 1/2 acre property at 6470 Highway N that has been purchased. The new owners have requested to rezone to C-3 ( Commercial ) which could create further developments, permitting much more invasion to the residence. The new owners first intended to open a small coffee shop in the existing house, now the owners intend to put a restaurant/bar on the property with operating hours are 6 AM to 11 PM, 7 days a week. This will create additional congestion on Highway N, noise pollution and lack of privacy for our residence. This restaurant will include not only existing structures but a very large parking lot, backing on to Ashford Knoll subdivision. They also want to install a retention pond/lake. Plus tall, parking lot lighting.
This goes before the Board of Aldermen on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at 7PM in the Board Room, City Hall, 5490 Fifth Street, in Cottleville, Missouri. Hope to see you there!
We live at the entry to Spring Orchard Subdivision. We have not been notified of this proposed rezoning in spite of the fact we can see the property from our home. We STRONGLY oppose this rezoning.
