In addition to the many reasons cited by others (which I agree with) a major point for opposing this project is that there is but a single ingress and egress to the Coronado Cays community. If the promoters of this project actually lived in the Cays, they would know that several times a day traffic backs up trying to exit the Cays and that it can sometimes take several light changes to clear. Additionally, in the summer, when those coming from the South want to enter Silver Strand State park, they frequently pull into the intersection on a yellow light and effectively block all traffic trying to cross the northbound lanes of the highway as they seek to turn left. This latest proposal stated that it came about as a "result of community input". What community were the developers referring to? Certainly NOT the Cays Community.
