Costa Rica must set the example and be a leader in marine conservation. Little by little, Costa Rica is losing her eco reputation. Let's do the right thing and bring it back.

Sharks and other protected animals are worth much more alive than dead. Please be a leader and don't let Costa Ricas beautiful natural resources be destroyed.

I will be traveling to Costa Rica soon to dive with these amazing animals. Your country can only protect them if the trading of fins is not permitted ever again and thereby prosper from these animals being alive and bringing tourists from around the world to Costa Rica to experience the country's beauty and natural treasures. They won't come any longer if all of these have been deploited. And it's no longer 5 minutes to twelve to stop this but 5 min past Twelve already! So please do act now

Do not support this barbaric practice.
It would reflect very badly on Costa Rica.

Shark finning is a disgusting practice and should be stopped everywhere. You are only going to hurt your economy in the long run if you allow such practices.

When countries stop the import and export of fins, the finning will stop and not until

The sale of shark fins will cause great harm to Costa Rica's reputation as a leader in marine conservation and could cause the loss of a significant amount of tourism income. Only a few benefit from the shark finning and many could suffer from loss of tourist dollars if Costa Rica becomes known as an exporter of shark fins.

President Solis is acting like Trump by ignoring the science and by serving private economic interests over the environment. He should be ashamed.

My understanding of Costa Rica was that it was a country that cared deeply for our world. Please don't prove me wrong.

This type of fishing is inhumane and disgusting. Don't let them get away with profiting off such atrocities.
