No debemos ceder ante el dinero... El planeta necesita nuestra intervención para salvar a sus especies y lograr el equilibrio en el intercambio con los ecosistemas...

As a recent many year property owner in Playa Potrero, I consider Costa Rica my second home. I proudly brag about the conservation efforts made by this beautiful country...and believe this ban fits the identity, of CR...and its's love and concern for all its species! Please do the right thing, respectfully Jeffrey Graham

I was 2.5 months in beautiful Costa Rica but I realized that they are indebt to China. It is sad to hear that CR is more interested in selling the hammerhead shark fins that in protecticting the endangered species.

Our oceans need sharks to stay healthy. We kill the sharks, the rest of the ecosystem will suffer - including fish. Please stop the needless trade of shark finning!!!

Please set an example for the world and do not allow the exportation of shark fins whether from new sources or from stockpile. This is critical to maintain Costa Rica's image as an ecologically conservative paradise. Sharks are a critical part of balance of our oceans.

Sharks financing is a horrible and cruel and disrespectful industry. Particularly for a beautiful country proud of its heritage.

I agree that shark finning needs to stop. The government has to do something about it.

The productivity of the Ocean and especially the Eastern Tropical Pacific is unsustainable. The slaughter and export of shark fins is reckless. The Accumulated shark fins should not be shipped. It is well past time to stop this thoughtless behavior. Please do not support the shipment of the accumulated fins. Suck behavior makes is less likely that I would desire to visit Costa Rica. Thank you Jim Smith

Surely the Costa Rican government can see how preposterous the sale of these fins would be.

Shark finning is a brutal and senseless practice for profit. It is particularly shameful from a government that promotes ecotourism. People who care should speak with their tourism dollars and avoid Costa Rica.

Shark finning is cruel and unsustainable. Costa Rica has a reputation as a ecologically responsible country. Please live up that reputation.

I believe that anyone in favor of shark finning should have their arms and legs cut off, then unceremoniously dumped in the ocean to drown.

Sharks are a vital part of the marine ecosystem. Without sharks, fisheries and the entire ocean collapse. Please don't think about the profit now, but about the profit for future generations!
