'Cosplay is not consent' signs to be placed around MCM expo

I couldn't agree more personally have never been in that bad of a situation bar one person getting a bit to close in a photo after following me for a bit didnt think he ment anything by it but I know this is a problem with alot of people and it should be addressed properly and felt with

I've been going to MCM for nearly 6 years now and have fortunately never been assaulted, but friends of mine have and I've come close myself. I think newcomers to the convention scene don't see cosplayers as people, but as objects - they think we are there for their entertainment, not because we are there to have fun ourselves, and therefore treat us without respect or manners sometimes. The comic that was put in the MCM guide was fantastic, but not obvious enough. Similar signs about not touching stalls without permission, showering etc. would also be a good idea.

Gladdens my heart to see this. No one of any gender should be made to feel uncomfortable when they're doing something they love at an event they're supposed to enjoy. Hope this goes somewhere~

Thisshould have been done years ago. People are either uneducated or ignorant. This gives no excuse.

This is such a good movement that really needs more support,I'd love to see this at MCM and in a way I'd feel it would make the event a safer place. Get these in all the MCM Expos too, not just the London one! :)

It is quite sad that this issue even needs to be addressed. This is not acceptable in any environment, and therefore should be treated just as seriously at comic-con. Shame on those for harassing cosplayers

this protects everyone and weeds out the creeps

Always respects someone's personal space, no matter who or what they are cosplaying as. They are still human beings with normal lives.
