I highly agree with this being brought too light. I've never seen signs and I too have been going for two years. I go mostly as Disney Princess and even I get comments and unwanted touches when I'm having a picture with someone. I can't imagine what it would be like with the girls who have sexier outfits like Harley Quinn. They're not asking for that kind of attention it's definitely not consent and it needs to be addressed.

This is something I feel passionate about and definitely should be put into place! I know it won't stop it completely because some people won't care, but every small step counts!

People should be allowed to cosplay how they like without people doing anything like that to them.

I agree 100% with this.We all love comic con, but almost everyone has had or knows someone who has been groped or touched uninvited at comic con. It'd make the con environment feel safer and all genders will know that just because it's con does NOT make it acceptable. It shouldn't need to be said but it does . Unfortunately people aren't all nice in this world, and need the extra reminder or kick up the butt.

I have been copsplayer only for 7 months, and only been to 3 conventions so far, but I already heard some nasty comments not so much directed to me, but to other cosplayers, and it really annoys me, I wish not only see sign like this at MCM but at other conventions as well...

I honestly thought it was a given that you shouldn't touch people without their consent or permission. This sucks and from all the hard work ive seen people put into their cosplay. I would hate it if they regret their time cosplaying because of some ignorant dumbass who didn't know any better.

This is such an important issue, it needs to be recognized! Cosplay is not consent and it's a shame that people need to be reminded but I think these posters will encourage a message so that instances are less likely to happen. This isn't just limited to women! Men and people of all genders can be affected by this issue.

I think its highly inappropriate to touch someone without permission, it happens more than it should. I don't know if these signs would really help, but atleast the issue is being addressed and people have something to point to in that situation. Just because people wear costumes does not mean you're invited to touch them.

I totally agree, some people think that just because you are dressing up that you are asking for some sort of physical attention or 'wanting to be touched or stared at'. No just no.

Having seen the trouble Luna Lanie has had recently and many cosplayers before, you'd think that organisers would have done something by now. I know there's been talk of safe zones for people to go if they feel threatened but seems like more needs to be done.
