'Cosplay is not consent' signs to be placed around MCM expo

It's sad that we have had to resort to this petition. It's not a difficult concept.

It'd be great if this was a thing. Whilst I've never had the misfortune to have this happen to me, it can be taken as far as sexual harassment, and that's not cool. Having this would be great to alert people not to just touch!

I've been harrassed quite a few times at mcm and these really would help me feel more safe.

I stepped in to stop a woman being harrased at MCM in October I don't understand why people think it is okay to so this to other people, its not about the costume there is another person under there.

So true, should always ask before doing anything! Even if it's just a smile and a wiggle of the camera, they still need to consent!

This needs to be put around comic con to provide awareness that just because girls/guys wear skimpy costumes doesn't mean it gives others the right to touch.

Let this be a thing at MCM Comic Con

Too many a time has this happened to me and I'm fed up! First time I went to MCM at age 14 it happened!!! Now 21 it's just horrible and down right disrespectful

I understand that friends can go a little further and push boundaries, I also understand that MCM is ment to be a place where we are all automatic friends and a big family full of unique amazing people! But I think we forget sometimes that our friends at home have earned the trust and our MCM friends still need to earn it. Let's keep our amazing new family respected and safe together!

although it may just be a sign that wont fix the issue entirely, it is a reminder to those with innapropriate intentions that there are real people in every cosplay who deserve your respect. some people need a reminder or a little kick into the direction of sense.

I'm tired of having rude things yelled at me and having people touch and take pictures of me without asking and then getting mad when i'm upset because ' that costume is asking for it'

my friend has been harassed by a group of guys in the recent mcm expo because she was wearing shorts and a tank top it's really disgraceful what people are able to do, you'd be surprised how many people quit cosplaying and all just because some twits think they can have some fun playing with people

It's a shame that this isnt just common sense

in today's modern age there is no need for any sort of sexual attacks or verbal attacks so all we can hope that the signs will help prevent this sort of thing happen to any woman or man.
