This is disgusting behaviour. No one anywhere should feel the have the right to just grab/touch who ever they please. It's an offence, it's sexual harassment & should be stopped!

I'm a Black Widow cosplayer and have unfortunately had to experience various degrees of people getting hands-on while taking photos with me.
The most recent was last week when I was at London Comic Con, two guys literally grabbed my arm and demanded a photo. They were impolite, called me "Scarlett" because Scarlett Johansson plays Black Widow, and got snarky with me when I didn't immediately stop for a photo (I hadn't heard, nor paid attention once I did hear, their loud calling for this "Scarlett" person). They then grabbed my waist, yanked me into the shot, took a photo and left.
It's people like this that make a con unpleasant for cosplayers and it shouldn't happen. It happens to me far too often at cons and shouldn't happen just because I choose to wear an outfit that some people consider sexually appealing. This is why I fully support this petition.

Too many weirdo's out there and perverts. Unfortunately really hot cosplay girls seem to be a draw. Such a shame

Wow. Can't believe a petition needs to be done for them to take decent action on this matter.

The fact we have to request this is depressing. But nonetheless, I will support my cosplay brothers and sisters. We should not be made to feel dirty and ashamed for doing something we love - and usually by others who love it, too. We get enough stick from the media; let's not be made to fear each other.

Sadly an unpleasant minority of attendees feel that others -especially those who wear cosplay - desire to be the centre of attention and that, as such, it is okay to grope, molest or say sexually explicit things to them.
These individuals, though a minority of all attendees, need reminding that such behaviour is not acceptable.

I haven't had many problems with these things yet, which I am thankful for, but I sure as hell wasn't happy when I was talking to friends and was introduced to one boy who proceeded to touch me without permission almost instantly.

I really do believe these should be everyone, it isn't right for anyone to be felt up or touched at any kind of con where people want to have fun, please add these to mcm.

I have yet to notice a sign on this. This is happening to people and it needs to stop, more awareness would be a step in the right direction to cut this out.
