I agree with this, especially considering I cosplay myself.

This legit shouldn't exist, the fact it does says a great many things about our society on an international scale. Although this would only be treating the symptoms and not the cause, it is still a step in the right direction.

Not supporting this petition is at best tantamount to ignoring a severe issue that needs addressed and, at worst, giving a free pass to a form of sexual assault. An increase in visible signage is clearly needed in order for cosplayers, and people in general, to feel safe and welcome at MCM expos.

Wish this wasn't needed, but is.

The signs should be so obvious that no one can say they haven't seen them.

its hard enough already for some people to cosplay at conventions considering some people are shy, it wont help if they're afraid people will go and harass them

Too many people act as if someone is wanting to be handled because of what they wear. "You dress up to get this attention don't you?" This isn't right. Wanting acknowledgement for your hard work in a costume and courage to wear it is not the same as wanting some person to grab you, nor is it wanting someone to take your picture without so much as a request. It takes a few seconds to ask for a picture.

As a peer educator for my local domestic violence shelter, I think it's great that this kind of movement was started. I've spread it among my group, so perhaps we can get this thing up and running!

I think it is totally unacceptable behaviour. Something needs to be done.

Multiple time have I had people make comments, or even try to lift up my skirt at conventions. People have grabbed me and generally made me feel uncomfortable, this needs to be standard practice.
