I not fair , when those kids look back that's something they can show their children. Its a day to remember and just like we(even though I didn't attend Cook High School) had our cords for 2012 - Until , they should have theirs. It's not fair.

Every student should have a cord. They all struggled in some fashion to get to where they are. Its not fair to celebrate some and not the others.

It is unwise to change tradition to save a few bucks. Graduation is the culmination of a mountain of effort. Recognize it. Glorify each achievement.

I graduated in 2010. I worked very hard for the cords I wore around my neck at graduation. I can only imagine how I would feel if someone took them from me.

Why is this administration changing everything that is good regarding the students? These children work hard and deserve recognition on all if their accomplishments. Keep the cords and stoles.

On my graduation day I wore two cords; these two cords symbolized the work I put in to finish two pathways and pass the end of pathway test, a test made a college students. I might not have made honors but I had other accompishments that I deserved to be recognized for.

If you are not going to recognize all the cords, then do away ALL. Including that of the honor graduate!!! It's for sure these days we would not want to hurt a childs feelings for not having what the rest have. It doesn't matter that those few may not have worked as hard or achieved what others have. That's what is wrong with the world now days, let one person whine about what another has in the real world and its ok we will just take from everyone else to satisfy that persons feelings. Kids need to be taught to grow up and grow a thick skin and that if you want something work hard for it just like that person next to you. Don't sit around and wait for everything to be handed to you or sit and complain because someone has something you don't!!!!

Class of 2014- cords show the achievements of students, and they should be allowed to wear them proudly.

It would be dishonorable of this high school to take away the cords. How can you possibly give a trophy to every player on a athletic team, yet, decide to relinquish the rights of a senior graduate who has EARNED the cord fair and sqaure. It is biased and unfair. DO BETTER COOK COUNTY HIGH!
