This is outrageous .. I had to sign this because it is my fair to only recognize honor graduates So many other things have been accomplished by the students who might not be as academically gifted as others and it is not fair to only recognize the academic achievers .. This is ridiculous

This is a great way to promote being a great citizen in the community. Sarcasm. Come on Cook get it together.

Graduation is the culmination of 12-years of hard work, plus kindergarten and pre-school for many. To arrive at that moment is a noteworthy capstone and it should be celebrated with dignity, honor and pride in each student's accomplishments. I have always enjoyed Cook High's tradition of honoring students with cords for completed pathways, club participation, community service work, etc. The cords serve to dress up the occasion while honoring diligence in a dignified manner. To see this tradition nullified is a huge mistake, and one I hope is not tethered to the almighty dollar. Please do not cheapen an event that should filled with "pomp and circumstance." Keep Cook's evening distinguishably different by keeping the time and student honored tradition of cords.

I as I cook high graduate 2015 believe that the cords allow the students to feel proud of what they accomplished and they can easily show it off. What do pins do for the students? As a parent or significant other in the crowd you can't see a pin. I don't think it's fair to switch up a tradition that everyone looks forward too.

Keep the cords! It's an achievement that every Cook High School graduate will keep forever! As a graduate of 2009 from CHS, I proudly still have mine and can only hope that they will continue the tradition!

This is ridiculous these kids work hard for that cord and to take it from them should be against the law.

The Class of 2016 should be able to continue the tradition of wearing the cords.

Leave it the way it always has been. You take away the cords, you take away the recognition for everyones hard work and dedication. CORDS. NOT PINS
