Cordova High School Dress Code

NO UNIFORM !! We can't have freedom of any type, we should be able to express ourselves, Bartlett , Arlington, Germantown Those schools don't have uniform and they have risks of having gang related problems but still go on without uniform anyways , it is not fair , and we should be able to be out of uniform but of course have rules about it as well, like no booty shorts and stuff like that, because even when we DO have uniform we still get in trouble and get uniform violation slips for wearing something so stupid like LEGGINGS. Or a sweater that's blue or red and not Hunter green, and it just looks bad on our records , and causes a waste of time for everyone including teachers, so PLEASE let's get as many people to sign this petition so we can be out of uniform !!!! I have had enough !!!! Somedays ill wear leggings and BIG SWEATERS to cover up my butt and even then I still get in trouble when I'm not trying to show anything off . LETS CHANGE THIS !!!

Students should have the right to express themselves in and out of school . I think that not using uniforms is a great idea. Of couse there can be a strict policy of clothes being appropriate and no profanity but they deserve it. Atleast try it this school year and if it doesn't work out and students don't follow regulations then you can decide to change your minds but please give us a chance

Our Children Should be able to dress the way they feel not what the school say. They should be able to wear anything they like as long as its not innapropriate.

My daughter attends CHS and she complains about the dress code policy, please do something about this.

This is not allowing to show who we are. We need to be able to express our self as we please. We shouldnt all be looking the same, school teaches us to be ourself but we cant if we are in uniform.

the First Amendment states EVERYONE should express there selfs in there own way

I think that for the students to be that that they are individuals but to take that away by dressing them exactly the same and forced to wear it everyday is a total mistrust .

I think it makes no since for us to come out of uniforms to just go back into them. You act like Cordova High School is one of the top prep school.... Well they are not !!! Yes we have the some great students and teachers but this is ridiculous
