We, the citizens of the city of Coppell, TX petition the city to add a dog park to our parks and recreation infrastructure. Dog parks provide a safe area for dogs to exercise off-leash, preventing them from infringing on the rights of the community such as joggers and small children, and soiling public sports fields. A dog park would also make it easier for the city to enforce it’s leash laws as residents would have no reason to allow their dogs off-leash outside the park.
