The city council officially approved the construction of the new fenced dog park this afternoon. I have already requested the project timeline from the parks department and will post the opening schedule once it becomes available. Final supporters
We, the citizens of the city of Coppell, TX petition the city to add a dog park to our parks and recreation infrastructure. Dog parks provide a safe area for dogs to exercise off-leash, preventing them from infringing on the rights of the community such as joggers and small children, and soiling public sports fields. A dog park would also make it easier for the city to enforce it’s leash laws as residents would have no reason to allow their dogs off-leash outside the park.

The petition has reached one hundred signatures from Coppell residents. I am currently compiling this list to present as a formal request during the next Parks and Recreation Board meeting.

Long overdue. The community has been asking for this forever.
KEEP THE DOGS OFF THE SOCCER FIELDS. A fenced area is the only way to fix this mess.
About time. Too many people letting their dogs loose at the ball fields already. Give us a place to go so we can follow the rules.
Yes pls! We have to drive so far just to let our pup run around. Being able to go somewhere local would be amazing.
My dog is bored out of his mind. Coppell needs this like yesterday.
