Conwy Council Reject Application To Demolish Art Deco House Believed To Have Been Designed by Colwyn Foulkes

So sad and shortsighted to demolish this beautiful Art Deco house,shame on the council who passed this decision.

Change the windows and it pay you back with interest and a destination

Don't be philistines (and sack your planning officer).

This building must survive!

An important house. It would be much better to restore it than to destroy it.

As an ex resident and business owner in Conwy I object to demolishing such an important piece of architectural history . Restoration is what is needed and it being included in Conwy's rich heritage trail . Put carparks well outside town . Enraged !

Looks like a beautiful example of art deco architecture. It would be criminal to demolish it.

I used to drive past that house and look in amazement at the beauty of it.

Minor assaults can be healed. This is an outstanding and irreplaceable building, and its demolition a huge cultural loss. Remember the Firestone Building.

To knock a building of significant heritage to make space for car parking would be sacrilege. Surely park and ride facilities would be better?

This is a beautiful, unique building which should be saved. It would without doubt be a loss to Rhos on Sea if this building was demolished. Surely it would be better to reinstate the original windows? I have seen this done with similar properties in Newquay in Cornwall. Would it not be better for the environment to renovate this property rather than building a modern carbuncle in its place? The whole situation smacks of corruption and I wonder who on the council is going to benefit from it?
