It is vital to keep Colwyn Bay Library open. Reading is a lifeline, an escape. It’s a community hub, and an escape for children who want to read or use a computer. It’s a gorgeous building that people of the town are rightly proud of. Colwyn Bay has one of the largest populations in North Wales, a proper library is needed.

This is a large library in a beautiful purpose-built building, in an area with severe deprivation. Closing it and not replacing it with an equally good library is short-sighted, and a disservice to local families and literacy in the town. This is a scandal.

Another excuse to condemn a perfectly functional building shame on you. Keep the library and the services where they are now.

It is so sad to see all the history of the area being sacrificed in the name of progress !!

No need to knock down a lovely useable building. Very handy place in town with parking and bus stop. My kid loves it there.

Why don't you sell your offices instead , work from home and move a few receptionist in to the library?

We must not let Conwy Council get away with this, It's our town library for the people, they always pull buildings down when they have not been maintained, there excuse it cost too much to repair, if they kept on top of jobs in the beginning this would not happen

We cannot destroy education institutions such as libraries, that initially, were philanthropic (Andrew Carnegie) gifts to the under privileged.
How dare renegade councillors, under whatever excuse, deny future generations of such rich resource.

This building was given in trust by the people for the benefit of the people. That trust should not be destroyed.

Library’s are a necessity for a functioning society. Kids need it for homework, we all need it for education.
