This library needs to be saved, we use this library and it is needed in the town. Also this building is so lovely it would be terrible if it was to close and go into disrepare

The building must not be allowed to go derelict but have a use or number of uses.

It is such an iconic building and one of the few places left in Colwyn bay that everyone knows where it is and what it is.

If the repairs were to cost £2 million there may be case for moving but to quote £175,000 as the reason sounds like finding any old excuse to support their plans.

This is a lovely building and there are now only a few in Colwyn Bay. It must keep its purpose so the community will be able to use it.

Why not cherish this library instead of spending money building a new one? Listen to the local residents.

I'm all for progress, but closing a functional and aesthetically pleasing building, to move it to a floor in the council buildings, smacks of a way that Conwy council can try and sell off the family jewels to pay for this monument to hubris

IMHO another shameless attempt to be seen to save funds when squandering them elsewhere. Colwyn Bay has a heritage that should be preserved not sold off/demolished which I fully expect to happen if this goes ahead. Libraries are important parts of the community not just dusty shelves. Build on the history, don’t walk away from it.
